If you are using the TinyMCE editor, go to Extensions → Plugin Manager → TinyMCE 2.0 → Set Code Clean-up on Save to Never.

In this example, we will use the Attention Span Style - Syntax: [div class="attention" class2="typo-icon"]...[/div] syntax.

  • Go to Content → Article Manager → Select an Article.
  • Insert [div class="attention" class2="typo-icon"] .... some content .... [/div]
  • Save

Content Editor

  • Go to Content → Article Manager → Select an Article; or Extensions → Module Manager → A Module, for a custom module.
  • Click the HTML mode or equivalent in your editor
  • Insert <div class="attention"><div class="typo-icon"> ... some content ... </div></div>
  • Save

No Editor

  • Go to Content → Article Manager → Select an Article; or Extensions → Module Manager → A Module, for a custom module.
  • Click the HTML mode or equivalent in your editor
  • Insert <div class="attention"><div class="typo-icon"> ... some content ... </div></div>
  • Save
Note, with the Content Editor (WYSIWYG) enabled, you need to enter HTML mode.

System Requirements

The following are required for Syndicate to operate fully:

  • Joomla 1.5.x (latest version)
  • Gantry v3.0.11 or higher
  • PHP 5.2 or higher
  • RokNavMenu Module

CSS3 Only Features

Syndicate is a CSS 3 template with graceful degradation. Firefox 3.6+, Safari 5+, Opera 10+, Chrome 3+ and experimentally with IE9, support CSS3.

  • Box Shadows: shadows for blocks
  • Text Shadows: shadows for text items
  • Border Radius: rounded corners for blocks
  • Color Crossfading: color transition on hover
